facemash

i did end up making facemash once for my college and i realized how easy it is to get anything of the internet. My university puts the entire classprofile up online and you can simply open that and see the cloudflare endpoints for all the images. They all end in similar ways and i just asked comet to prepare a list of all the names and wrote a simple script in python which helped me download all the pictures by replacing the name placeholder from the list, few images had diff links i wonder why but some stupid shit happened there also it was interesting how comet thought some of the guys were women cause of their names so that was funny to see lowk bias

once you put random images and write a script to not repeat them the chess elo rating algorithm online works perfectly for relative ranking.

i did ask some people to try it out ofc i dont want to get kicked so no making it public but seeing people on it for hours made me realize that how shit like that is lowk fun for everyone and how much of horny fucks guys are which in turn explains the traffic mark got when he made it which is insane.

i do wonder if it can be put to some good use or if i can repurpose that code but i dont see a use of it for now

i was thinking of a model to monetize it where people get paid for uploading their pictures, you upload a picture and imagine the user pays like 100rs for 100 tokens aka 1 token for every time you want to compare two people, so the money gets split between the two people whos picture gets displayed, just by putting a picture up, everytime your picture is shown you get 0.5rs and you can like get it into your account later(with consent ofc) that wouldve been interesting but i would have gotten kicked out of my uni so hell nah dawgg we aint doing that
